Reasons to donate

Your donations are more important than ever.

Whether you give a one-off donation, join as a Member or give your time, it is enormously satisfying to know that you’re able to support a World Heritage Site, protect and care for a nations collection and make sure  they remain special for everyone.

Royal Museums Greenwich is a non-exempt charity and National Museum, we rely on your support. Significant reductions in Grant-in-aid in recent years means that we rely on the generosity of our supporters to ensure our future.

Support from members of the public, companies and charitable organisations helps to: keep our four sites open, maintain free entry at the National Maritime Museum and Queen’s House; conserve and study our collections; build and refurbish galleries; curate exhibitions to share histories and stories; improve facilities; acquire objects for our collection; and develop our learning and schools programmes.

Our supporters become part of the adventure, together we have already achieved all this:

This means that we are regulated by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) rather than the Charity Commission, and we do not have a charity registration number.
