Thank you for your continued support of Royal Museums Greenwich. As a charity, like many others, we are looking for ways to survive the financial impact incurred from closing the Museum doors back in March, due to the outbreak of Covid-19.

While some of our sites remain closed, our work to care for your national collection continues. The Collection’s varied stories of human endeavour, demonstrate how people like us have faced challenges in the past, and prevailed for the sake of future generations.

This is the most difficult time that the museum has ever faced and we are incredibly grateful to have received support and donations during the past months. We need this help to continue as we begin to reopen our sites and navigate the challenging times ahead. The museum continues to incur a huge loss whilst some of our buildings remain closed. Over 50% of our income comes from ticket sales and other commercial activity from across the museums, and so at this difficult time, please consider donating generously.

You could make a huge difference to Royal Museums Greenwich, by making a donation and by renewing your Membership.

As we begin our recovery, we invite you to reflect on our shared heritage, and continue to discover hidden treasures within our vast collection by exploring the Collections Online. It is a wonderful resource, which shows how the history of human endeavour inspires curiosity and leads to artistic output.

Royal Museums Greenwich will continue to draw on its collection as inspiration for the challenges that lie ahead. Let us not forget that the largest object in our collection, our own ship, Cutty Sark, is a survivor, famous for having come through many storms and challenges. And in her spirit, we believe that if we ‘hold-fast’, with the help of our donors, we will prevail.

All donations, big or small, will make a difference; helping us plan for a healthy future, continue vital collections care and vibrant public programmes that connect people around the world. Thank you.
