After what will presumably by the longest marathon training in history...I'm (hoping) to (finally) run the London marathon... Twice cancelled, and 18 months later but better late than never!

For anyone that has known me for more than a few years, will know that running a marathon hasn't always been an obviously achievable goal for an asthma suffering, injury prone chap that blisters alone have been know to prevent any athletic prowess. However, against all odds over the last few years running has become more achievable so it only seems right to attempt the marathon, in the city i call home (and the best city in the world) and even better if I can raise some money for charity along the way.

I will be raising money for Team Cutty Sark and the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich; which is not my most local charity but also sits on most training runs and the marathon route itself. The Funds will be used to not only the magnificent and historic landmark that is the Cutty Sark but more importantly the work they do in the wider community in terms of the youth and education programmes they run every week (more info on that below).

And its not just an elaborate excuse to spend more time in the bath I promise!
